Professional Development

Our professional development programs are tailored to meet the needs of individual teachers, schools, districts, and other educational entities. We recognize that each of these groups has unique challenges, priorities, and goals, and we offer customized training and support to address their specific needs. Here's an overview of the professional development opportunities we provide for each of these audiences:

Individual Teachers:

• Workshops and Seminars: We offer workshops and seminars focused on topics such as culturally responsive teaching practices, inclusive classroom management strategies, differentiated instruction, and supporting diverse learners. These sessions are designed to provide teachers with practical strategies and tools they can implement in their classrooms. (available in person and online)

• Online Courses: We offer self-paced online courses that allow teachers to deepen their understanding of key concepts related to educational equity and diversity at their own pace. These courses often include interactive modules, video tutorials, readings, and assessments to support learning and application.

Schools:

• Customized Professional Development Plans: We work with schools to develop customized professional development plans that align with their goals and priorities. This may include a combination of workshops, coaching sessions, team-building activities, and collaborative planning time.

• In-Service Days: We facilitate in-service days for school staff focused on specific topics or themes related to educational equity and inclusion. These sessions may include keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and hands-on activities to engage participants and foster learning.

• Teacher Leadership Development: We provide training and support for teacher leaders to become equity champions within their schools. This may include leadership development workshops, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing support to help teachers advocate for equity and drive positive change.

Districts:

• Comprehensive Equity Initiatives: We partner with districts to develop comprehensive equity initiatives that address systemic barriers and promote inclusive practices across multiple schools. This may include equity audits, policy analysis, strategic planning, and capacity-building efforts.

• District-Wide Professional Learning Communities: We facilitate district-wide professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on educational equity and diversity. These PLCs provide opportunities for educators from different schools to collaborate, share best practices, and learn from one another.

• Leadership Development: We provide leadership development training for district administrators, principals, and other school leaders to help them effectively lead equity-focused initiatives within their schools and districts.

Others:

• Non-Profit Organizations: We offer professional development opportunities for non-profit organizations that work with schools and districts to promote educational equity and diversity. This may include training for staff members, workshops for program participants, and consultation services to support organizational goals.

• Government Agencies: We collaborate and provide professional development services for government agencies that oversee education policy and programming. This may include training for agency staff, workshops for educators and administrators, and strategic planning support to advance equity goals at the state or local level.
